The new Toyota Tundra is a full-size pickup with a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter i-FORCE V6 rated at up to 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, a ten-speed automatic, available 4x4 and a maximum tow rating of up to 12,000 pounds when properly equipped. It is offered in Double Cab and CrewMax body styles with multiple bed lengths and grades from SR to the top-of-the-line 1794 Edition, Capstone and TRD Pro. Toyota Safety Sense is standard on every one.
Manhattan Beach Toyota is the South Bay's full-size truck headquarters, with a team that handles sales, financing, factory-trained service, Genuine Toyota parts and TRD accessories. Call or contact us today and let us help you find your Tundra.
A Tundra can be a work truck, a family hauler or a luxury cruiser depending on how you build it. Work through these choices:
The vehicle detail page shows the cab, bed and drivetrain for each truck. If towing matters, confirm the rating for that exact configuration on the window sticker.
Every gas Tundra uses the i-FORCE twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 paired with a ten-speed automatic. On the SR grade it is rated at 348 horsepower, and on all other grades it produces 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. A fully boxed, high-strength steel frame, a multi-link rear suspension with coil springs and an available air suspension give the current Tundra a more settled ride than older full-size trucks, which you will notice on the concrete slabs of the 110.
The Tundra i-FORCE MAX adds an electric motor to the same twin-turbo V6 for 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. It is a self-charging hybrid available on upper grades, and it is the powertrain of choice for the heaviest towing and the strongest acceleration. The gas Tundra is lighter, simpler and available on more grades. If you tow a large trailer often, drive both before deciding.
The Tacoma is a midsize truck that fits in a standard garage and is easier to maneuver in beach-town parking lots. The Tundra is bigger in every dimension, with a roomier cab, a larger bed and roughly double the towing capability. If you regularly haul a boat, a toy hauler or a heavy equipment trailer, the Tundra is the right tool. If you mostly carry surfboards and camping gear, the Tacoma may be all you need.
Properly equipped Tundra models are rated to tow up to 12,000 pounds. The exact rating depends on cab, bed, drivetrain and grade, so confirm it on the window sticker for the specific truck.
Gas Tundras use the i-FORCE twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 with a ten-speed automatic, rated at 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque on most grades and 348 horsepower on the SR.
No. The current generation uses the twin-turbo V6, and the i-FORCE MAX hybrid version of that engine delivers more torque than the previous V8.
Double Cab has a smaller rear seat and is available with longer beds. CrewMax has a full-size rear seat with generous legroom and is offered with 5.5-foot or 6.5-foot beds.
It may be on the lot, in transit or in production. Check the status on the listing and contact us with the stock number to confirm.
Often, yes. Contact us with the stock number and we will explain the reservation process and any deposit terms. Arrival dates are estimates.
Full-size trucks are a big purchase, and we want you to get it right. Save the listings with the cab, bed and grade you want, then call or message us with the stock numbers. We will have them lined up for a test drive and can review tow ratings, financing options, your trade-in value and the TRD accessories that fit your truck.
