Guests took tours of the new 2010 Toyota Prius and asked the team from Manhattan Beach Toyota questions about America's best selling hybrid during the Earth Day celebration and concert at Polliwog Park on Saturday, April 17. The dealership also provided everyone with a chance to win a football signed by Pro Football Hall of Fame Quarterback John Elway.
During the celebration and concert you asked great questions about the cost, technology and safety of the Prius. Team members from Manhattan Beach Toyota were happy to answer your questions. Available to assist guests were Sales Manager Armand Reiser, Customer Relation Manager Joy Anderson, and Marketing Director Al Wise.
The Toyota Prius is a special vehicle to showcase for Earth Day because it has Hybrid Synergy Drive and can be equipped with a solar powered ventilation system. Every Prius provides instant data on a display that monitors the vehicle's fuel and energy efficiency.
Earth Day is an international day designed to promote awareness about our use of the earth. Energy efficiency, renewable energy and Earth's sustainability are just a few issues addressed each year.
The day, which was organized by Volunteers and Organizations Improving the Community's Environment, or VOICE, featured presentations about edible gardens, sustainable building, energy audits and solar power.
Also at the park were health and wellness exhibits, local schools, alternative-fuel vehicles, boutiques displaying handcrafted goods and unique apparel.
South Bay Wildlife Rehab was on hand to show off some exquisite birds of prey. The non-profit group educates adults and children about wildlife animals and the environment in which they live.
Manhattan Beach Toyota is always proud to be part of the Earth Day celebration in Manhattan Beach. The dealership has been a sponsor of events such as this for three years.
